Good location for Ferry pier it is a short walk.Khasan road is very close.There are plenty of restaurants & bars nearby.

This hotel is value for money.Breakfast could be better. But food you purchase in the restaurant is good and very reasonable.Also the drink prices are fair. People complain about room cleaning, but you can ask for your room to be cleaned.The staff were very helpful., The exception was the night receptionist who was more interested in what was on her computer than in dealing with us. She was unpleasant which we found unusual for Thailand as most places are very welcoming.Not a good first impression for guests.Thankfully the rest of the staff had a different attitude and we had an enjoyable stay.

Worst hotel i’ve ever stayed in. Terrible WiFi. Slamming doors all day. Rude staff, rude guest profile (mostly Euros). Accommodations are a joke. Three outlets, one grounded. Food nothing to write home about. Pool is the best part. If i had just pulled up a lounge by the pool and slept there, I would have been better off.

An old favourite and close to khao san road

An old favourite and a large hotel complex just off the amazing soi Rambuttri and a 5 minute walk from khao san Road. The rooms are a good size and the staff are always happy to help. There is a small pool downstairs as well as 24 hour reception. The hotel is just across the road from the Chao Phraya River, so great to hop on the tourist boat and see bangkok by river.

Booked a superior room on high floor overlooking pool side. Requested room was “not available” until a very efficient staff member said if we could wait until later she might have one for us. Staff try their best to oblige and most seem very happy to help guests. Housekeeping staff are very good. Food at cafe is always good and hotel location is convenient to transport. Beds are not very comfortable. I could feel bed springs. For the room rate I paid the value was good. I have stayed many times and would stay again.

Since my first time in Bangkok in the 90s, the New Siam hotels were always my go-to places to stay. Always so safe and clean and good value. But this time New Siam II didn't seem to be up to its usual standards, When I first arrived, I thought the reception staff could have handled my check-in better. I booked and paid for my room ahead of time and asked in my reservation for a "quiet room." But they showed me the exact opposite! One was a front room overlooking the busy street, and the other one was on the top floor right next to the utilities that hum all day and night. When I rejected both for obvious reasons, they refused to show me anything else, saying the hotel was fully booked. I even said I would downgrade if necessary. At one point I thought I would have to forfeit my money and just go find a whole new hotel. But then another staff member arrived and another room magically appeared, and it ended up being nice and quiet. For the rest of my stay, the reception staff was okay, dealing with problems efficiently (like a leaky light in my room). But the check-in experience kind of left me with bad vibes. In general, the hotel itself needs a major refresh. Moldy ceilings in the hall and boxes everywhere near the restaurant and an empty fish tank makes the whole place look unkempt. I guess to cover up mildewy smells, they've resorted to using those awful scented chemical air fresheners, which hits you when you walk in your room. So to me the place doesn't seem fresh and clean like it used to.
